With Facebook and Twitter being the major contenders in the race to top Social Networking sites across the globe, their Apps are designed in a way to make sure that users stay within the app. By having In-App browsers or built-in browsers the users are not let to venture out of the App to increase the in-App time for as long as possible. How to Disable In-App Browser in Facebook:
These options are updated after the Facebook has been updated to the latest version (April 2020).
Step 1: Open the Facebook App
Step 2: Now tap on the three lines icon on the top right corner
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Settings & Privacy
Step 4: Then tap on Settings option
Step 5: Scroll Down to the bottom of the page and tap on Media and Contacts
Step 6: You need to tap on the Toggle switch in the right side of the option – “Links open Externally” to turn on the option.
This will open any link which you tap on – Image or Video externally into your default browser – Chrome, Opera Mini or Firefox.
How to Disable In-App Browser in Twitter:
Follow the below mentioned steps to Disable In-App browser in Twitter App which opens the links to external app.
Step 1: Open Twitter App in your smartphone
Step 2: Now tap on your Profile picture int he left top of the screen
Step 3: Scroll down and tap on Settings and privacy
Step 4: Now tap on Display and Sound
Step 5: At the bottom of the list, tap on the option – Use in-app browser to deselect it which disables the in-app browser.
How to Disable In-App Browser in Telegram:
Telegram is an Instant Messaging App which competes with the likes of WhatsApp but has many additional features. It also comes with a feature which opens any link you click on to open in the built-in browser which can be annoying as it is slow and lacks on certain features which are available in regular browsers.
Step 1: Tap on the three lines icon (Hamburger) on the top left corner of the screen
Step 2: Now tap on the Settings option
Step 3: Tap on Chat Settings in the list
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom and under Settings- Tap on In-App Browser to turn off the Toggle switch
You are done, now any link you click on Telegram will be opened in your Default browser of your smartphone.
