Yu Yureka and Yuphoria get CyanogenMod 12.1 updateYu which has recenlt released its second smart phone in the Indian market have now released a new update for both of its devices Yureka and Yuphoria which is the CyanogenMod 12.1 nightliews which is available for the device with code names – Lettuce for Yuphoria and Tomato for Yureka.

The latest OS offered by YU is the CyanogenMod 12.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Both the devices are doing pretty good in the market with some great sales. The latest updates seem to be not so polished and are a bit unstable. If you know your way around Os then go ahead and install the updates but if you are not so into it then I suggest you to wait for the more stable versions of the OS.

Coming to the update in Yu Yureka the update is codenamed as “tomato” and the file size is 366MB which will bring the latest CyanogemMod 12.1 OS to your device. The Yureka which is a well specified device powered by Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor supported by 2GB of RAM having a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720 pixels resolution display, and comes with preinstalled Cyanogen OS along with a 2500 mAh battery.

Coming to the Yu Yuphoria the update is codenamed as “lettuce” and the file size is 365MB and will bring the latest CyanogenMod 12.1 OS to your device. The Yuphoria device comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels display and powered by Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor with 2GB of RAM and runs on 2230mAh battery. The device comes with Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

There is a lot of difference between the Cyanogen OS and CyanogenMod OS so don’t get confused between both of them. CyanogenMod is the work of Developers and users trying to make the OS better and when it comes to Cyanogen OS it the more polished version of the OS which has been tweaked and tested and made available after removing the problems the earlier had faced.
