Xiaomi Redmi 4 with 5-inch Full HD display, SD 625 SoC / 430 SoC and 4000mAh battery Launched

Xiaomi has launched their latest Budget segment smartphone, the Redmi 4 in two variants alongside the Redmi 4A with compact 5-inch displays. It is the successor to the Redmi 3 which was launched earlier this year in January. The Redmi 4 comes in two variants with the lower end version having a 5-inch HD Display and powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC and 2GB of RAM while the high-end variant comes with a 5-inch Full HD display powered with Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 SoC.

The design are similar with a metal uni-body design with neat borders giving it a very premium appearance as compared to its price. Both devices come with a 2.5D curved glass display over the IPS display. Both the SD 430 and SD 625 variants sport a Fingerprint sensor on the back of the device.

Both the variants sport a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, dual LED flash and capable of recording videos at 1080p along with a 5MP front facing camera. Both devices come with Hybrid Dual SIM slot with 1 micro +1 nano / microSD car slot. Both devices come with Infrared sensor as well along with connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS. Both devices come with a 4100mAh non-removable battery.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be available in Silver, Grey and Gold colors priced at 699 Yuan or Rs. US$ 103 or Rs. 6900 for the base variant (SD 430 SoC) while the Higher end (SD 630 SoC) is priced at 899 Yuan or US$133 or Rs. 8800. Both variants will be available in China from November 11th and the details about its availability is not confirmed.
