Xiaomi which has made quite some news with its flash sales of Xiaomi Mi 3 in India is now concentrating on the Redmi series with the Redmi 1S getting ready for release on 2nd September through Flipkart. Xiaomi has learnt a lesson form the previous Mi 3 sales and is now releasing 40000 units on 2nd September.
Xiaomi has suspended or halted the sale of Xiaomi Mi 3 at the moment and concentrating only on Redmi 1S. Later Xiaomi will be releasing its Redmi Note and then later on Mi 4 is on cards too. So wonder what the fate of Xiaomi Mi 3 is for the future whether it will back on sale or not is uncertain.
Coming back to the Redmi 1S the recent and sudden decrease in pricing close to Rs. 1,000 has made it even more desirable and I dont think even the 40,00 units will last more than a few seconds. The price is such that no one will risk loosing such a tempting offer for a device which has far greater specifications for the price at which it is being offered.
The Xiaomi Redmi 1S comes with a 4.7 inch HD 720 x 1280 pixels resolution display and running on 1.6 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8228 processor along with 1GB of RAM and having an internal storage of 8GB which can be expanded using MicroSD card upto 64GB.
It has a 8MP rear camera with Flash and a 1.6MP front facing camera, the device runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean which has a MIUI version 5 skin, for all the specifications which are being offered this should be a Rs. 10,000 phone comparable to the likes of Moto G but it is being priced to compete with Moto E which is Rs. 5,999 and this is why this is going to be a game changer once again in the budget smartphone market.
The pricing fight between Asus and Xiaomi is bringing out the best prices for the users as Asus had earlier decreased the pricing just before launch and so did Xiaomi with the Redmi 1S.
Lets get out hands on Xiaomi Redmi 1S on Sep 2nd and will give you a hands on review of the device for those who could not get it.
