Xiaomi which is making a lot of buzz in the smartphone market in India with its flash sales through Flipkart for the Xiaomi MI 3 is now getting ready to launch another smartphone which is the Xiaomi Redmi 1S which is going to be a competitor for the Budget smartphones like Asus Zenfone 5 and Moto E as it is being priced in that range.
Xiaomi recently ocnducted a contest in Facebook to promote its Xiaomi Mi 3 along with the Redmi 1S by asking users to select the best possible smartphone to be available under Rs. 8000 INR and are also handing out 10 Mi 3 smartphones to the winners selected.
Coming to Redmi 1S Xiaomi are trying to bring the best possible features at the least possible possible rates which can also be seen in this device. Redmi 1S runs on a 1.6 GHz Snapdragon 400 Quadcore processor which has 1GB of RAM and the internal memory is 8GB which can be expanded using microSD card upto 32 GB.
The camera on the device is a 8MP rear camera which has Full HD video recording capability and a 1.3 MP camera to help in Video calling and for people interested in taking selfies this is not such a great option as photography with the front camera in artificial light is not so great.
It also has 200 mAh battery and has Dual SIM functionality along with HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, the device is really a good competitor for Asus Zenfone 5 in respect of features offered at the pricing and also the Moto E which is available at the same price.
Looking at the disappointment and anger which users are facing seeing at the lack of sufficient number of Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphones being available in Flipkart Xiaomi is bringing a lot more number of smartphones into the Indian market and as it is priced around Rs. 6,999 INR the demand will be even more when compared to Xiaomi Mi 3.
The device was available for pre registration this week and even with the increased number of smartphones being made available they will be sold in a few seconds so if you are planning to buy a device make sure you are ready to take up the competition.
