Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 9.0 Pie OS update to the Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphone in India. It is a stable release for Android 9.0 Pie which brings in many new features like – Adaptive battery and brightness, simpler ways to navigate your phone, recommended apps and actions based on your content, new gesture navigation among other features. This roll out comes just hours after Motorola One Power started receiving the Android 9.0 Pie update as well.
With Adaptive Battery, the device uses machine learning to prioritize system resources for the apps and app actions to raise visibility of your App. Slices are a new way used to show rich and templated content in Google Search and Google Assistant. Xiaomi and Google at the launch event of the smartphone mentioned that the device will be receiving the latest Android version and also monthly security patch updates as the device is launched under the Android One program.
With the Android 9.0 Pie beta testing going on from a few months for the Mi A2, the stable version has finally been sent out to users in India first and we are expecting a Global roll out of the update shortly in the coming days. Xiaomi Mi A2 was launched in India back in August running on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Android Pie 9.0 OS update is available as an OTA update and comes with a sie of 1.06GB (major update) which comes with the latest November 5, 2018 security patch from Google. It is a pretty good update in terms of the features and improvements being rolled out, we will be giving the list of all the features which have been included in the update after testing it out in a couple of days.
Xiaomi Mi A2 come with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display and is powered by an Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space. It runs on Stock Android OS under the Android One Program. It was launched at a Price of Rs. 15,999 available on Amazon.in and Mi.com.
