Asus have launched an array of devices which include the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe and along with it come the Marshmallow based ZenUI 3.0. This is the latest UI announced by Asus to replace the ZenUI 2.0 which comes with a decent number of new features giving your devices a refreshed look and feel. There is not a drastic change in the overall UI but you can see little changes and the inclusion of many new features which we will be listing out here.
The first thing which caught our eye was the size of the icons which is slightly bigger than earlier giving it a revamped look. The App icons are also a bit colorful which is a good thing giving a boost in appearance. We are expecting Asus to release the ZenUI 3.0 for their older models as well along with the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Ultra which run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
New Themes, Wallpapers, Stickers, Widgets have been added to the ZenUI 3.0 giving you many new options and ways in which you can customize your Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe etc. The little animations and other additions bring in a decent change in the way the ZenUI looks and feels.
Mobile Manager is another feature which includes other features to improve your Zenfones performance and other aspects as well, one of the features out of the 7 features under Mobile manager is the Super Boost which as the name suggests helps in boosting your device performance by cutting down background apps etc and improving the performance of your device. A similar feature is seen in HTC 10 called the HTC Boost+.
For streaming you updates from your Social Networking apps and any other news the company has included ZenLife which brings Social updates and news directly on your Home screen. If you are familiar with HTC BlinkFeed, this is somewhat similar to that.
Game Genie is for the gaming enthusiasts and it makes sure that you get the best gaming experience with features like in-game search window, system booster and it also syncs with Youtube and Twitch to help you live stream your gaming sessions.
Asus has made sure that they bring in all the features which are the best in other OEMs into the ZenUI 3.0 which is a good thing and we can see that it also makes the user experience much better. It would have been better if the huge number of Bloatware apps could have been decreased. Will be updating my complete experience of the ZenUI 3.0 once we get to use it for a while.
