Swipe has introduced a great little package in the budget segment, the Elite Plus which is packed with great specifications priced competitively. Another similar device which was launched recently into the Indian market is the Lenovo Vibe K5 which is a similarly priced smartphone which will go up against the likes of Swipe Elite Plus and the Coolpad Note 3 as well. Both devices are priced similarly at Rs. 6,999.

First lets look at the Display, both devices sport a similar 5-inch Display but differ in terms of Resolution, with the Swipe Elite Plus having Full HD resolution compared to the HD resolution in the Vibe K5. Both the displays are good, but with higher resolution the Swipe Elite Plus wins in terms of better display.
When it comes to the Processor as well the Swipe Elite Plus with a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor is ahead of the less powerful Qualcomm Snaodragon 415 processor in the Lenovo Vibe K5. Both devices come with 4GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with option to expand further using microSD card. The difference in the processor can be felt in the performance as well when it comes to multi tasking you can feel that the Swipe Elite Plus the better of the two.
When it comes to Camera both devices have a similar 13MP rear camera with similar performance and in the front camera the Swipe Elite Plus has an 8MP camera in comparison to the 5MP camera in the Lenovo Vibe K5. In terms of the Battery capacity as well, the Swipe Elite plus is the winner with a 3050mAh battery in comparison to the 2750mAh battery in the Vibe K5. Although the difference in resolution might bring the battery life down for the Swipe Elite Plus but the higher capacity makes it the winner in this segment as well.
Which is better – Swipe Elite Plus or Lenovo Vibe K5:
It is quite clear from the tabular comparison itself looking at the higher specs in the Swipe Elite Plus is the winner carrying the same price tag as the Vibe K5 it offers more to the table. We can see that it has a better Display, higher powered Processor, better front facing camera and higher battery capacity making it an all round winner in comparison to the Vibe K5. The only thing which is a win for the K5 is the brand name behind it – Lenovo and Swipe which is a considerably smaller brand. If you are looking for a device in the Rs. 7000 bracket go for the Swipe Elite Plus as it offers a lot for the price or you can also consider the Coolpad Note 3 Lite which is similarly priced with a Fingerprint sensor included.
