Sony Mobiles company launched today its latest flagship smartphone in their Japan event earlier today, looking at the device at first glance looks similar to its predecessor and there are some upgrades from Sony mobile. Coming to the upgraded features of the device, it comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution which is similar to the Z3. The Z4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip with 3GB RAM on board. The device packs Adreno 430 GPU to handle the graphics department. On the storage aspect the device comes with 32GB of internal storage with the option to expand it via microSD slot upto 128GB. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sony UI on top of it.
Coming to the Camera aspect the Primary or Rear shooter is 20.7MP with LED flash and an improved 5.1MP front facing camera with wide 25mm lens to take better Selfies. It also comes with “AR mask”, “Skin”, “Style portrait” modes. The rear camera has got “Cooking mode” to produce better pictures while taking photos of food. The device comes with 4G LTE, Single Nano SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1 with A2DP, GPS with a-GPS, GLONASS, NFC. The device is powered by a 2930mAh battery with STAMINA mode which Sony claims 17 hours of talk time on 3G. The Sony Z4 comes in four color options – Black, White, Copper and Aqua Green.
The Sony Xperia Z4 comes with IP6X certification for dust and IP5 and IP8 certification for water resistance. This time, the new Sony handset can be submerged at a depth of 4.92 feet for a duration of 30 minutes.
The device is just 6.3 mm in thickness, which makes the Xperia Z4 thinner by 0.4mm thickness compared to the Xperia Z3. This weighs at 144g, which is 8 grams lighter than Xperia Z3 which is 152g. The pricing of the device is not yet released but the device is supposed to be released this Summer.
