Reliance Jio 4G SIM got Blocked issue details

According to official announcements only LYF and Samsung smartphones which supported 4G LTE are eligible to receive the Jio 4G SIM card and the 3 months free data preview offer. But recently we have seen that any user with a 4G LTE supporting smartphone is able to generate the code and are getting their SIM cards activated like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 1s etc. Reliance has learned about the glitch which was allowing any smartphone with 4G LTE to get SIM access and has rectified it.

So from now if you want to get the Reliance Jio 4G SIM and free 3 months preview offer, you need to get yourself an LYF smartphone or a Samsung smartphone which supports Reliance Jio SIM. The preview offer which is available consists of Free unlimited Data with 4G speeds and free calls as well as SMS for a period or 3 months or 90 days.

Reliance Jio 4G SIM blocked issue

If you are one of those who has got their SIM activated on a device other than LYF and Samsung smartphones need not worry as Reliance has mentioned that they will not be blocking SIM cards activated earlier as it was a technical glitch from their side and most probably these SIM cards won’t be blocked (but we never know as there have been reports of SIM cards being blocked). Reliance has started sending an update for the My Jio App to fix this glitch or technical issue.

So now it depends on luck as to which SIM card which was procured using code from devices other than Samsung and LYF devices will get blocked and which will be spared. So if you are looking to get the preview offer of Reliance Jio make sure to get an LYF smartphone or use any of your pre-existing Samsung Smartphones which support the JIO 4G SIM to get your SIM card.

There are also rumors that Reliance is in talks with Apple to get the Jio 4G Preview offer to pre-existing and new iPhone customers as well, we need to wait for any official announcement for the same before confirming it. Reliance is surely going in the right way with the offers and network they are providing setting up a strong base of users even before their official launch.
