So now comes with most important question which everyone is worried about, how to get a Reliance Jio SIM and is your smartphone compatible or eligible to get the preview offer?. As the Reliance Jio network is not launched officially everyone cannot get the SIM cards like other network providers but there are some restrictions to get a Reliance Jio SIM card and the free three months preview offer.

At the moment LYF smartphones are eligible to get the Jio SIM card and the preview offer – List of LYF smartphones eligible to get Jio 4G SIM card. During JIO preview offer, customers were given complete true 4G unlimited data. Now all users are being migrated to JIO welcome offer, in which everyone will get only 4 GB of data at unlimited speed daily. How to apply for Relaince Jio SIM from Samsung and LYF devices?

For getting the Jio SIM card with any LYF smartphone which you buy, you can ask for the details with the dealer from where you are buying the device. How much time does it take for the Jio SIM to get activated?

There are many steps which are needed to get your Jio SIM activated and once you get the SIM you need to get it verified with after a verification call, which will be coming to your other number which should be given in the application. Frankly speaking the time taken for activation is varying from user to user, for some it is as fast as a few hours and for some it is taking days which is quite frustrating for many.

So do not have any high hopes to get your Jio SIM activated in hours as the huge number of incoming applications is making it difficult for the centers which are accepting these forms to get through each one swiftly.

How is the Reliance Jio Data Speeds, Call and Reach in all areas?

As for now after using the Reliance Jio SIM for close to a week my experience is mixed. The speeds received with the free 4G Preview offer is sometimes staggering clocking around 30-40 Mbps and for some it is going up to 65Mbps which seems to be the highest recorded, but at times the speeds are not going more than 2 Mbps it is not clear why this is happening. At times I have noticed that there was sufficient network available but the data connectivity was down.

But being in a pre launch or beta stage we cannot expect it to run as smoothly as a post launch service and although with the hiccups faced, Reliance Jio 4G LTE free data and the free calls offer is taking the cellular network segment by storm giving nightmares to its competitors.

Can I get Jio SIM with other phones apart from Samsung and LYF devices?

It was possible a week ago but after the update which was released by Reliance, other devices do not seem to get the Code and even if the code is generated,  the SIM cards are not get activated. I have seen friends with OnePlus 3, Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 etc get the SIM earlier before the update and using it till date but when I tired recently with the LeMax 2 it was not generating the code. So try your luck if you need to.
