It is time for the pre-booking of the much awaited JioPhone which was announced sometime back. The time to pre-book JioPhone is 5.30pm today and if you are one of the many consumers across India looking to pre-book the Jio Phone and are confused how to do it, fear not we are going to explain to you the two simple methods in which you can pre-book the Jio Phone.
With JioPhone you will be getting three recharge plans – the most useful of which appears to be the Rs. 153 plan offering one month free voice calls, unlimited data (28GB), 300 SMS and Jio apps subscription. The JioPhone is in a sense free although you need to pay Rs. 1,500 up front this amount is completely refundable after 36 months. This amount is taken as a security deposit and will be refunded if you return the JioPhone after 36 months.
Method 1: Pre-Book JioPhone from your Smartphone (MyJio App):
If you are an existing Jio customer using a smartphone, you would be having the MyJio App pre installed in your smartphone. So all you have to do is to launch the MyJio Application at 5.30 om today i.e 24th August 2017 and you will be seeing a banner showing – “Pre-Book Now” on the top as seen in the image below.
- Now you need to enter your details (mobile number and address or Pin code) and it will ask you to pay an amount of Rs. 500 towards booking fee (this amount is part of the Rs. 1,500)
- You will be getting a confirmation that you have successfully pre-ordered JioPhone. You will be getting the confirmation as an SMS.
- The remaining Rs. 1,000 should be paid once the delivery is done
Note: If you want to book a JioPhone for your friends or relatives. You can simply enter their mobile number and their Pincode to pre book the JioPhone for them. Both of you will be getting the confirmation SMS about the pre-booking.
Method 2: Visit the nearest Reliance retailer to pre-book JioPhone:
This is the second step which is useful if you are not a user of any smartphone and do not want to book or pay online. You need to visit the nearest Reliance authorized centers and manually book your Jio Phone by paying Rs. 500.
Specifications of JioPhone: It comes with a 2.4-inch display and runs on KAI OS out of the box. The device is powered by a 2000mAh battery and will last for 15 days in standby and offers 12 hours of talk time. The KAI OS comes with 22 Indian regional languages support – Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
