Oppo which has launched the slimmest smartphone in the world recently has bought the device to India, Oppo R5 which is having a thickness of 4.85 mm and is the slimmest phone at the moment but there is another device which is being launched Vivo X5 which is even slimmer than 4.85mm and it comes at a thickness of 4.75 mm.
With the list of slim phones increasing everyday there is a tough fight which is going to happen, Oppo R5 which was launched as a competitor of Gionee Elife S5.1 has already got a new competitor in Vivo X5 Max.
Coming to the features of Oppo R5 it is going to come with a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with the Full HD resolution, and the Oppo R5 is powered by the Snapdragon 615 processor along with a octa-core chipset clocking at 2.1 GHz, and that is added by 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The device comes with a 13 MP rear or primary camera which comes with Sony Sensor and a 5MP front facing camera to help capture some great selfies. The thickness of the device is not measured taking into account the protruding camera on the back and if the camera is considered then the device comes close to the Gionee Elife S5.1 at 5 mm thickness.
The device is made not just thin but strong as well with the help of Stainless steel which is used in place of Aluminium to make the micro arc frame to make it stronger for the size it is made in. The process used to make this ultra thin device is with a main moto of removing those little problems which arise with thin phones – Say no to bending.
The Oppo R5 comes at a price range of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 with the internal memory details not yet released, the pricing of the device is certainly on a slightly higher side looking at the phones being released recently in the market. But with the thin device and the Stainless steel frame along with the features at offer it seems to a deal which only the consumer can decide on.
