OnePlus which announced in December 2014 that there will be the launch of OnePlus 2 in 2015 has sent out invites which are complete mystery to what exactly is going to be launched. But the date of the event has been mentioned as April 20th which is Monday. It is strange that the invites are sent out only three days prior to the event.
The invite read “From here on out, anything could happen. #NeverSettle”. Other than this there is nothing mentioned about the event and nothing about the device which will be launched. But we can see the coincidence that OnePlus One was launched in April 2014 and looking at the timing it might be the OnePlus two which might be launched. There are a lot of expectations with the device as the success of OnePlus speaks volumes about the company and its devices. There was a slight hiccup with CyanogenMod getting into an agreement with Micromax to be a sole provider for Yu Yureka after which OnePlus made their own Oxygen OS with CyanogenMod . This update was released recently with Android Lollipop with CyanogenMod for the OnePlus One.
There are some speculations about the features and specifications of the OnePlus 2 device which say that the device might be coming with a Snapdragon 810 Processor along with expandable memory which can be a good feature and also 5.5 inch display equipped with fingerprint scanner. These are just rumours and nothing is known about the device.
With OnePlus announcing that it will announce two devices this year we have to wait and see if both the devices are launched at this event itself or this event is solely for the OnePlus Two only. With just two days to go the excitement is building up and that is what OnePlus wants by sending out such mysterious invites to the media for its event.
So let’s wait and see if OnePlus announces the OnePlus Two or the budget smartphone on which it was working or and entirely different product.
