OnePlus 5 gets OxygenOS 4.5.7 update to get EIC for 4K Video recording etc

OnePlus has just released a new OS update to their Flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5 – OxygenOS 4.5.7 which has started rolling out for their smartphone today. This update comes shortly after the OxygenOS 4.5.6 hotfix update which was released to fix the issue of reboot on dialing emergency numbers was released. OnePlus has been busy in sending out updates regularly to their latest flagship smartphone the OnePlus 5 much to the delight of the users by fixing any bugs and bringing small but useful changes and updates.

Oxygen OS 4.5.7 update for OnePlus 5

With the latest OxygenOS 4.5.7 update, OnePlus is rolling out EIS feature while recording 4H Videos which is only available while shooting Full HD or 1080p videos. There were complaints about WiFi connectivity being irregular after the previous update which is said to be fixed with this update. The other fix is said to improve the battery standby time. There are many other minor bugs fixed which are mentioned below.

Bug Fixes with OxygenOS 4.5.7 update to OnePlus 5:

  • Fixed occasioanl sound leaks in the speakers when using earphones
  • Fixed camera shutter sound bug in silent mode for Indian region
  • Fixed missing sound channels when recording videos

  • WiFi connectivity improvements
  • Standby battery enhancements

It brings the latest Android security patch level 1st July 2017 with the update, the update also brings latest GSM package. There is said to be a new OnePlus Slate font included in the update as well.

The OxygenOS 4.5.7 OTA update comes with the 1st July 2017 Android security update and is  310MB in size which is the biggest update since the first update was rolled out by the company. With the EIS stabilization for 4K resolution Video recording, users can get more stable videos. Make sure that you check your device for the latest OTA update which is said to be rolling out in phases.
