OnePlus has been steady with its updates to their two flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 4.1.3 for both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T today which comes just 1 month after the OxygenOS 4.1.0. OnePlus has sent out the OxygenOS 4.1.3 update based on Nougat 7.1.1 and not 7.1.2 Nougat.
And before you get your hopes up let me put it straight, there are no new features included in the update but just simple bug fixes and stability or performance improvements. This is a good move as this helps in keeping faith in the company with such minor updates to fix minor bugs and problems giving users the best experience with their smartphones.
Changelog for OxygenOS 4.1.3 update for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T:
- Based on Android 7.1.1 upgrade
- Improved WiFI connectivity
- Improved bluetooth connectivity
- Fixed hardware buttons malfunction bug
- Added expanded screenshots
- Improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction
- Improved video stability when recording
- Fixed Instagram swiping bug
- Increased system stability
- General bug fixes
The changelog is as mentioned in the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T upgrade page, OnePlus has mentioned that upgraded Android 7.1.1 which is not true as the devices are already running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the earlier OxygenOS 4.1.0 OS update last month. There are certain bug fixes which many OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users have complained about in the Forums – Fixed Instagram swiping bug and fixed hardware buttons malfunction bug. This is good as we can see that OnePlus is listening to its users complains and sending out fixes for the bugs.
The update is said to roll out incrementally in batches and if you have not yet received any update notification, you can check if your device has got the update by going to Settings then tap on System Updates and check if any update is available. The size of the OxygenOS 4.1.3 update file is just 45MB and it comes with the file name OnePlus3Oxygen_16_1703242056.
