HMD Global has announced their latest Flagship smartphone the Nokia 8 at an event in London. The device comes with a 5.3-inch Quad HD LCD display which comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection having 554 ppi pixel density. The device carries similar design as the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3, but it comes with organic full aluminium uni-body design, machined from a single block of 6000 series aluminum, then polished into a luxury mirror finish.
The Nokia 8 is powered by a Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 OS with Adreno 540 GPU. The device comes with 4GB DDR4X RAM coupled with 64GB storage which can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card. The Nokia 8 comes with a Dual Rear camera setup with one camera being a color sensor while the second sensor is the black and white monochrome sensor. The rear camera comes with ZEISS optics and OIS. The front camera is a 13MP sensor with PDAF. One of the most impressive features of the camera is Dual-Sight technology that uses both front and back cameras simultaneously to capture photos, later fusing both images together into one photo or video file.

The Nokia 8 comes with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS which is set to be updated to Android O shortly after its official release. The device comes with two variants – Single and Hybrid (nano + nano/microSD). Nokia OZO spatial 360-degree audio uses the phone’s 3 microphones and Nokia acoustic technology algorithms to capture the sound in incredible detail then allow playback on the Nokia 8, YouTube and other supporting devices. You can also broadcast live directly to Facebook and YouTube from within the camera app, thanks to the partnership. It is powered by a 3090mAh battery which comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, Steel and Polished Copper colors, is priced at 599 Euros (US$ 700 / Rs. 44,990 approx.) and will start shipping in early September globally and is expected to launch in India in early October.
