Nokia 8 Sirocco with Dual Curved 5.5-inch QHD 3D p-OLEd display and powered by SD 835 SoC announced in MWC 2018 at 749 Euro

HMD global has launched their first Flagship smartphone Nokia 8 Sirocco which is the upgraded version of last years flagship having some impressive upgrades in the display department as well as design and internals which we will see in the post. The device sports a solid stainless steel body for which the Sirocco brand is famous for. It is said to be 6000 stronger than Aluminum. The device sports IP67 water resistance and is very sleek at just 7.5mm akin to its predecessor.

The display is a 5.5-inch p-OLED dual curved with QHD resolution and covered wiht 3D glass having Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Nokia has finally caught on with the bezel less frenzy and this devices sports a bezel less display on both sides.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco sports a 12MP (f/1.75 aperture) wide angle sensor and a 13MP (f/2.6) telephoto sensor with LED flash on the back. There is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture with display flash. The camera system is backed by Carl Zeiss optics.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor which is is not the latest but last years SoC, with Galaxy S9 and S9+ sporting the Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is the current flagship from Qualcomm. Also, the phone is featuring 6GB LPDDR4 RAM coupled with 128GB internal storage.

It comes with the latest Android 8.0 Oreo (Android One) out of the box which will be getting all the latest Software updates, the phone comes with a 3,260 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 and Qi Wireless charging. Connectivity options on the device include WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, there is no 3.5mm earphone jack and users have to reply on USB Type C port for Audio.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is priced at 749 Euro which is $920 or Rs. 60,000 approximately. It will be avialable in Black color and the device will be available from April. The launch date of Nokia 8 Sirocco in India is not revealed yet.
