Motorola has launched the second Generation Moto G naming it the New Moto G similar to the launch of New Moto X in the same event. Motorola which is going to bought by Lenovo in sometime is releasing great devices keeping the company running. New Moto G now has a 5-inch HD or 1280×720 pixels display and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Inspite of the increase in size of the Display by 0.5 inch the size of device is not much altered because the Bezel has become thinner having more space for the display. The device runs on 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and having 1GB of RAM. It has Adreno 305 GPU. The device comes in 8GB and 16GB versions and having option of Expanding the memory using microSD card.
New Moto G runs on Android Kitkat 4.4 out of the box, the camera is also an upgrade to 8MP Rear facing camera with LED Flash and having 720p HD video recording at 30 fps. The front has a 2MP camera. On the sound aspect new Moto g is equipped with Dual front facing speakers and 3.5 mm audio jack and the device also supports Radio FM.
The device is 10.9 mm thick and 149 grams in weight. New Moto G supports 3G, WiFi 80211, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS. The Battery is slightly on a lower side with just 2070 mAh battery, almost similar to that of the earlier Moto G which was giving decent battery life.
The device is going to launched later this year and comes in different colors like Red, light Blue, dark Blue Green, Black, Yellow, White. The second Generation Moto G comes in 8GB and 16GB and the pricing of the 8GB version is $179 which is around Rs. 11,000 which is a really competitive considering it will be going against the Xiaomi Mi3 in India which affected a lot of the share of sales for the first generation Moto G.
