With the Motorola Moto X first generation getting the Android Lollipop 5.1 update in three countries USA, Brazil and Canada which were the first to receive the update are now being joined by 14 more countries as David Schuster has posted in his Google Plus account.The first update was released last week in the three countries and it is now followed by these countries.
The countries which are getting this update are Australia, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain. With this update release most of the countries around the world. The latest update has been released as OTA and it will be available on your devices directly as an update or you need to check if any update is available or not in the settings option as it is being sent out in increments.
The update is set to fix some issues which users have been facing like the WiFi not reconnecting automatically in the home network. It also fixes the heads up notification bug that removed the notification from the drop down notification menu when users swiped it from the lock screen.
There is news about the launch of the new Moto X in November this year and it is going to be equipped with some great specifications as well. The other smartphones from Motorola which are going to get this update are Moto G (2014) and Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G. They are also getting the update as OTA and it is advised to install the update under s good WiFi connection and clear up enough space on your device and make sure you back up all your data before hand in case something goes wrong.
