Moto Mods Modular Back Cases for the Moto Z Style and Z Play leaked

Motorola a part of Lenovo has been in news thanks to two new smartphones, the Moto Z Style and Moto Z Play which will be officially launched at the Lenovo Tech World on June 9th  under the new Moto Z series. We have also seen Lenovo teasing with a Video about the Moto Razr V3 making a comeback on June 9th but there is no update regarding it yet.

The Moto Mods Modular Back Plates / Cases as they are being called as seen in the image appear to be whole cases covering the back of the device and at the same time giving the additional specs like the first one seems to be the Camera addition having optical zoom and Xenon Flash, the second one appears to sport a kickstand and the third one is not clear. From the leaked images of the Moto Z Stlye and Moto Z Play we can make it out that the 16-pin connector seen on the lower back bottom of the device is the connector to the External Mods which Motorola will be showcasing.

Coming to the Specifications the Moto Z Style appears to be more powerful of the two going with the same naming strategy as seen in the Moto X. It is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch QuadHD AMOLED display and powered by a 2.0GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It is expected to sport a 13MP / 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, OIS, 4K recording. It will come with either 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable with microSD card.  Fingerprint sensor does not appear on the leaked back of the device and looks like it is on the front of the device in the home button in both the devices.

The Moto Z Play is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display and powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. It is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage and 2GB and 16GB storage variants with expandable memory options. The camera is a 16MP shooter on the rear with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF, OIS. Both devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS  and come with connectivity features like 4G LTE, 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. the Moto Z Play comes with 3500mAh battery while the Moto Z Style comes with 2600mAh battery.

The complete details about the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style along with the Moto Mods will be revealed at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 event in San Francisco on June 9th at 10.00AM or 10.30 IST. We can also expect to see the latest version of the Moto RAZR V3 being launched at the same event.
