The Motorola Moto G vs the Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 is a very good comparison as both the devices are in the same price range and with some amazing features and specifications. Micromax which has been bringing out such phones with good specifications at a very affordable price is going to get some stiff competition from the Motorola Moto G which is targeting a similar range of devices.
The Main question to be asked here is Will the Customers who shy away from Micromax phones be ready to take Moto G ???
Let me answer you that all important question, Micromax with its amazing feature rich phones is surely successful but not as much as what Samsung has become in the past few years and if we think of why, it becomes clear because of
- 1. Lack or Poor After Sales Service: The After sales service of Micromax and also Motorola (if any) is poor and the number of service centres also is very low, have read in many forums of people complaining that with whatever issue you go to the service centre the phone has to be sent to Delhi for repairing, it is as if these are just Collecting Centres for the Service Centres in Delhi. Motorola is the same and until they improve their After Sales service i don’t think this Craze for the Moto G will continue for long.
- 2. Lack of Functional Service Centres: If you look at the service centres of Micromax you will find them scattered stars on a full moon day one here and one there which i must say don’t live upto your expectations and needs. I have seen 90% of the people who go to these centres complain about Micromax Service. And Motorola has even less number of Service centres in Cities and forget about other areas. So we have to see if Lenovo which took over Motorola will use its Service centres to their Benefit.
- 3. Decreased Resale Value: The resale value of the device certainly plays a big part in Indian market and in case of Micromax the resale value is very low. And i must say Motorola isn’t much of a winner in this aspect as well i hardly see any Motorola phone being sold in seconds except for the Moto Razr which we all dreamed of owning once upon a time
- Local Indian Company or Not a Big Brand: Yes this a factor which many people see at, they want to show off a big branded phone which acts as a status symbol rather than go for a feature rich phone at the same price.
So decide depending on what you wish for a good after sales service is not the bright side of both these devices, if you know a Phone repair guy then go for any of the phones as it dosen’t make a difference

Final Conclusion for Moto G vs Canvas A250:
Both the devices are matched up with some good and some bad features as Moto G has got a bad camera compared to Canvas A250 but a slightly better Battery, and in case of the Display Moto G has a below par LCD display compared to the Full HD CGS display of Micromax Canvas A250. The RAM is also a big factor with just 1GB of RAM in Moto G compared to the 2GB RAM of Canvas A250. Camera too is a big plus for Canvas A250 with 13MP rear and 5Mp front compared to the 5MP rear and 1.3 MP front camera of Moto G. The Lack of expandable memory on the Moto G also is big negative especially for the 8GB version which i don’t think can handle the new age users.
If you ask me to buy one out of these 2 devices i would surely go with the Micromax Canvas A250 over the Moto G as Moto G has just the Brand name advantage compared to Micromax and not much in terms of features and other stuff.
As i wrote earlier the service centres for both the companies are not that great and final decision will be yours. So decide wisely and do let us know which device you think is better.
