Xiaomi devices to get MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM update – Mi Max, Redmi 2, Redmi Note etc

As promised Xiaomi has rolled out their latest MIUI 8 beta ROM to their smartphones after the company had officially launched their latest UI – MIUI 8 last month. The devices which will be receiving the MIUI 8 beta ROM v6.7.5 are – Mi Max (32GB), Redmi Note – 3G and 4G variants, Redmi Note Prime and Redmi 2 smartphones. With MIUI 8 Xiaomi has introduced a lot of new features into their UI.

Earlier we had mentioned a list of Xiaomi devices to get MIUI 8 update and although the beta update does not support all the devices mentioned in the list Xiaomi has promised that the update for other devices will be available gradually. There are some pretty interesting updates in MIUI 8 which has got users awaiting the update like the Scrolling screenshot, Dual Apps which lets you use two social media accounts in one phone like WhatsApp and Floating Ball all of which are quite practical in daily use.

List of New features of Xiomi MIUI 8 and devices supported

The MIUI 8 Beta update ROM’s are available for download from MIUI forum for Mi Max (32GB), Redmi Note – 3G and 4G variants, Redmi Note Prime and Redmi 2 smartphones. Along with the above mentioned features there are features like new Gallery App,new calculator app with added conversions and some interesting features as well.

As for the other devices which have not made it to the list of devices receiving the MIUI 8 beta update like – Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 1s, Mi 5, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 3 and Mi 2/2s are said to be getting the update shortly and even if they do not we can be sure that the Global stable update of MIUI 8 will be available for all Xiaomi smartphones from August 16th 2016.

To upgrade your devices to the latest MIUI 8 beta ROM – MIUI Global Alpha ROM users should flash back to the latest MIUI Global Developer ROM to get OTA whereas the MIUI Global Developer ROM users should be getting the OTA update notification directly and in case it does not make sure to check in the Updater App. .
