Micromax is foraying into a new segment, “consumer durables” with the launch of 8 Air Conditioners in India which include seven split ACs and one Window AC. The company is launching the Air Conditioners in two series – Wave and Aura which come with multiple options to choose from having 1.2 ton, 1.5-ton and 2-ton ACs with 3-star and 5-star ratings. The ACs come with many features such as Turbo Cool Mode which helps in Instantly cooling the Room to the desired temperature within an hour with just the touch of a button, this feature is present in both the Aura and Wave series.
The ACs come with an On/Off timer which can be set simultaneous for a 24 hour time period and an auto restart feature which will start the AC with the same settings after a sudden power cut. With the sleep mode, the AC can hibernate automatically saving power. The ACs come with Anti VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) filter which removes all the harmful chemicals and vapors from the air. There is a Catechin air cleaning filter which prevents the spread of bacteria and harmful viruses in the room.
The Aura Series ACs come with a Two Way Drainage System which lets the technician choose which side the drainage system exists the AC unit, this helps in the installation of Indoor AC unit without any additional drainage pipes dangling in the room. Micromax has mentioned that there are there are multiple service centers across the country and to get service users can complain through a smartphone app (for iOS and Android) which will be sent to the service centers and with the presence of a Self-diagnosis feature the user can mention of select the problem which is being faced so the technician can bring the required tools along with them improving the service.
Micromax is pricing the Aura and Wave series ACs starting from Rs. 21,000 and the 2-ton variant will go up to Rs. 35,000. The MCs are being manufactured at a plant in Uttarakhand. Micromax is giving a five-year warranty and first three years service for free.
