Meizu has announced a very unique smartphone, the Meizu Zero which comes with as the name suggests Zero ports and button. Yes, you read it right, the Meizu Zero does not have a Charging port, headphone jack and not even a SIM tray. One advantage of this is, it is Waterproof with IP68 rating. It does not even have a speaker grill and it relies on phone’s screen as a speaker along with the earpiece to produce sound.
No charging port is replaced with wireless charging (18W wireless fast charging) and lack of SIM tray is managed by the e-SIM technology which is being used now. The lack of buttons is also well thought of, it used pressure-sensitive power and volume buttons using Meizu-specific mEngine 2.0 on the sides like the HTC Edge Sense tech using Squeeze interaction we saw earlier.
