Xiaomi has launched their latest MIUI 9 ROM last month along with the launch of their latest smartphone, the MI 5X. Xiaomi has introduced several improvements, optimizations and new features with MIUI 9. These include the new smart assistant and universal search. There is a catch with Image search, Smart assistant and Smart app launcher initially available only in China ROM. Some of the features might not be available for all the devices. Xiaomi has included fixes for some issues in the latest beta update.
The first MIUI 9 beta update was released on July 27th in China for the MI 6 and Note 4X (Qualcomm variant) which was a closed beta. Later a public beta update was released for the devices – Mi 6, Mi 5X and Note 4X on August 11th. With the latest list of devices receiving the update are 9 more Xiaomi devices which are listed below.

Xiaomi has mentioned that many of their devices will be receiving the latest MIUI 9 ROM by late September. The only devices which will not be receiving the MIUI 9 update are Mi 1 / 1S and Mi 2A. All the other device from Xiaomi are set to receive the latest ROM update later this year in September.
