List of Nexus and Android One Devices receiving Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update

Google has finally announced that it will start rolling out the final stable version of Android 7.0 Nougat to Nexus devices. The first devices to receive the update are the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X which are the latest Nexus devices in the market and we can expect the upcoming Nexus Sailfish to come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Google will be releasing the update to many other smartphones under the Nexus Lineup and also the other devices which will be listed below. The company also mentioned that those devices which have installed the Beta version of the Android Nougat 7.0 under the Android Beta Program will also receive the final version. Factory images for the new OS will be available as well along with the OTA update for the following devices.

The Android One devices certified by Google are – Lava Pixel V1 (5.5-inch display), Karbonn Sparkle V, Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream Uno,  The updates will be rolling out in phases and some might get the update faster than others, so make sure you keep checking the Software update section in your Nexus and Android One smartphones for the latest update. Some latest Flagship smartphones will be released with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box like the LG V20. Android 7.0 Nougat comes with many new features as compared to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow like –

Google has mentioned that it will be releasing regular maintenance updates for the coming quarters and it has already started working on the first Nougat maintenance release to bring more refinements to be released this fall as a developer preview. The upcoming Google Nexus devices – Sailfish and Marlin are expected to be announced shortly with many leaks and rumors revealing the look and specifications of the device and will be coming with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
