With Android 7.0 Nougat stable version rolling out in devices like the Nexus series, LG V20 and the upcoming Pixel devices many smartphone manufacturers are actively releasing the list of devices which will be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update in 2016. The first is the list if Motorola which has confirmed the list of devices along with other companies like HTC and Sony. The devices are said to get the update in Q4 of 2016 which falls between October and December.
Usually this update is confirmed by the company in a blogpost, but this time it has been confirmed by the company’s spokesperson to Droid Life. Android Nougat has been welcomed by Android lovers thanks to the many amazing updates which have been included like new features in Notifications, Multi-window support, Data saver, Background optimization languages support etc.
List of Motorola devices to get Android 7.0 Nougat in Q4 of 2016:
- Motorola Moto Z
- Moto Z Play
- Motorola Moto Z force
- Moto G4
- Moto G4 Plus
The update does not list other devices like the devices from the Moto X series like the Moto X Force, Play and Style devices and the older Moto G devices. The company has not mentioned that these devices will not be receiving these updates which means we can expect an update rolling out for these devices in the future.
So if you are a user of any one of these devices mentioned in the list you can expect the update to start rolling out in between October to December later this year. Most of the companies are releasing the update to devices which are capable of handling the new OS and its features and excluding the devices which are not capable of handling the OS and so the older or devices with lower specifications may not be getting the update at all like we have seen with earlier updates.
