The Lava Pixel 1 comes with a 13MP rear or primary camera and a 8MP front facing camera.
The Pixel 1 runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 as it is one of the first in the second-gen Android One Lollipop smart phones in the market. This is Lava’s first Android One smart phone and most of the earlier devices under the Android One category were budget devices and this seems to be on the mid range category.
Specifications and Features of Lava Pixel V1:
- Display: 5.5 inch 720p HD display
- Processor: 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582
- RAM: 2GB
- Camera: 13MP Rear and 8MP front facing camera
- OS: Android 5.1.1 Lollipop
- Battery: 2650 mAh
The Lava Pixel V1 is in terms of design a lot better than the previous generation of Android One devices and so is the price in comparison. The device is powered by a 2650 mAh battery which is decent enough for the device. It is said to be coming with an Edge to Edge display which does not mean it does not have bezels but it is well adjusted by making the bezels thinner, we do not know how that will be affecting the strength of the display. The back cover is also said to be inspired from the iPhone 6 and does look neat.
One major positive factor for the device is the presence of Stock Android which does give it a different feel as compared to other devices in similar price range.
Pricing and availability of Lava Pixel V1: The device is priced at Rs. 11,349 and will be available in three colors silver, white and gold. The device will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting from today and will be available in offline shops as well. The device competes with Lenovo K3 Note and YU Yureka Plus with similar pricing and similar display size but is a let down in terms of specs with the other two faring well.
