iBall mSLR Cobalt4 launched with 4 detachable lenses and front flash at Rs. 8499

iBall which has been in the Indian market with affordable and budget phones is now entering into a new segment of concentrating on the camera featured smart phone. With its launch of mSLR Cobalt4 which as the name suggest comes with SLR type features of detachable mSLR Lenses which comes with the device itself and it is priced at Rs. 8,499 only.

The smart phone is unique in its own sense because it comes with four detachable mSLR lenses. The lenses offered with the device are a Zoom lens which has 8X zoom to offer, fish eye lens with 175-180 degree viewing angle, macro lens with 10x magnification and 10-15mm lens for minimum object distance images and a 130 degree viewing angle.

The device comes with a charger, pouch for the lenses and a cleaning cloth in the box. Coming to the specifications of the iBall mSLR Cobalt it is comes with a 5-inch 540×960 pixels resolutions qHD IPS display with a pixel density of 220ppi. It runs on Android Kitkat 4.4 out of the box. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz octa core Cortex-A7 processor supported by 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded to 32GB using microSD card support.

Coming to the main aspect of the camera which is a 8MP primary or rear shooter  with autofocus and dual-LED flash present. The secondary or front camera is a 3.2MP camera which also comes with soft flash on board which is impressive. There are other software goodies like face beauty which is similar to beauty face seen in Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6, live photo and multi angle view. The Lenses as mentioned earlier are also a great addition making it a great budget friendly camera phone in the market.

All the other connectivity features are present like 3G, Wi-Fi with Direct functionality, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, FM radio, and Bluetooth 4.0. There are some additional features like the HotKnot file transfer technology which is somewhat similar to NFC to help transfer files faster in close proximity. It runs on a 2000 mAh battery which is a bit on the lower side.

With the price being set at Rs. 8,499 it is a great device with great features mainly in the camera aspect and priced at a very affordable rate which will be a new niche to be explored by many companies.
