How to use Navigation Gestures in Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 and Note 6 Pro – MIUI 10

Xiaomi’s latest smartphones in the mid-range segment Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 and Note 6 Pro run on their latest UI, MIUI 10 which comes with a lot of customization options and features which give the users advantage in using their devices. One of the latest and useful features in MIUI 10 is the Gestures control which allows users to navigate through the UI using Gestures. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with full-screen gestures which help in navigation faster and easier.

What are the Navigation Gestures in MIUI 10:

There are three Navigation gestures which let you navigate through the UI, you can use the following gestures to complete the following functions mentioned below.

  • Home: Swipe from bottom to top in a quick motion
  • Open Recent Apps: Swipe from the bottom and stop
  • Back: Swipe to the Right or Left side from the Edge of the screen

How to Activate Navigation Gestures in Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro – MIUI 10:

Xiaomi has built in Navigation gestures features in their latest MIUI 10 and it does not come activated by default, so you need to do it manually. Let us show you how you can activate Gestures in Xiaomi smartphone running MIUI 10 – Redmi Note 6, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 4 etc.

When you activate gesture controls, the navigation buttons displayed on the screen will no longer be visible.

  1. Go to Settings in your Xiaomi smartphone
  2. Under System & Device, you will find, Full-screen display tap on it
  3. Here you will find two options – Buttons and Full-Screen Gestures, select this
  4. Now the gesture controls are activated.
