How to Setup Chromecast on Windows 10 PC or Laptop:
Set up Chromecast using Google Home App:
Download the Google Home App on your Android phone (Google Play Store) or iPhone (App Store).
Open the Home App and tap on Accept to the Terms and condition
Now tap on Set up 1 device and then tap on Home and tap Next button in the next page
The Home App will search for your Chromecast device, once done tap on Yes
A code appears on the TV screen and your Home App – If both match up tap on Yes
Click on Yes, I’m in or No Thanks to the prompt in the next page
Choose Location of the Chromecast device and tap on Next
Choose your Wi-Fi network and tap on Next and then enter the Wi-Fi network password to complete the Setup process of Chromecast device
The best way to Set up Chromecast is using the Google Home App while earlier setup using Windows 10 was available but now Google is only accepting Set up using the Google Home App similar to the Google Home Speaker.
How to Setup Chromecast from Windows 10 Laptop or PC:
Step 1: Connect your Chromecast device to your TV – HDMI port to your TV while the charging port should be connected to the USB wire and plugged into a power socket.
Step 2: Using the TV Remote change the Source Input to the HDMI port in which the Chromecast is plugged in – HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. Click on the Source button on your TV remote and using the arrow buttons select the HDMI port you connected it to.
Step 3: In your Laptop or PC, you need to launch Chrome App. Now enter or click on – chromecast.com/setup
Step 4: Here you need to click on the “set up your Chromecast using this computer“.
Step 5:Click on “Agree to Chromecast Privacy Terms by clicking on the Accept button”
Step 6: Your Chromecast weboage will start searching for any Chromecast devices connected to the WiFi network. In case your PC or Laptop is not able to connect to your Chromecast device, change the WiFi setting from 2.4 to 5GHz or vice versa.
Step 7: Once detected, click on the “Set Me Up” button
Step 8: Now click on the WiFi icon in the taskbar at the bottom right corner of the screen. Select your Chromecast WiFi Network which will be something like this – Chromecast6655.b
Step 9: Now click on the Next Arrow button after connecting to your Chromecast device and then Click on Yes in the next page after confirming the code appearing in your Computer and your TV in the right bottom corner.
Step 10: Now you need to Enter a Name for your Chromecast device and click on Looks Good
Step 11: Now you need to Select your WiFi Network and then Enter the password of your WiFi network to Connect your Chromecast to your WiFi device and click Connect
Step 12: Now you will be seeing the message Ready to Cast on your device. Now you can cast anything from your Laptop or PC onto your Television.
