How to Delete on your PC or Laptop:

  1. Launch any web browser and go to drive.google.com
  2. Now log in to the Google Drive account linked to your WhatsApp
  3. On the left side you will see the option – Backups click on it
  4. Here you will be seeing he list of Backup files with the date of the back up
  5. Select the Back up file you want to delete and click on the Trash icon on the top right corner of the screen

Note: You can follow the same steps and in step 5 you need to Click on the Cloud icon beside the trash icon to stop WhatsApp files being backed up in Google Drive.

How to Delete on you Android device:

  1. Launch the Google Drive App on your Android device
  2. Now tap on the three vertical lines icon on the top left of the screen
  3. Tap on Backups
  4. Here you will see the list of Backup files
  5. Tap on the three vertical dots seen on the right side of the file you wish to delete
  6. You get the options – Delete backup and Turn off backup. Tap on Delete backup to delete the saved file and you can tap on Turn Off backup to prevent Google Drive from saving any future files or images
