There is a no direct way in iOS to Clear RAM like in Android devices but we have found a workaround which lets you clear RAM by following certain steps which include using Assistive touch for latest models while the older devices with Physical button do not need Assistive touch.
Steps to Force Clear RAM on iPhone or iPad:
For latest models without Physical Home button follow the steps mentioned below to activate AssistiveTouch.
Go to Settings and then tap on Accessibility
Now tap on Touch and then tap on AssistiveTouch and turn it on
To know that this trick works, open multiple apps on your iPhone and then follow the steps mentioned below. Keep your phone unlocked before you start the steps mentioned below.
Unlock your iPhone and go to Home screen
Now press the Volume Up button and then tap on the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Power button until you see a Slide to Power Off option on your screen.
Now tap on the Assistive Touch button on the screen and now Press and Hold the Volume up, Volume Down and Power buttons at a time
When you see the Assistive Touch menu, press and hold the Virtual Home button for a few seconds in Newer models and the Physical power button in the Older models with a Physical button.
You need to unlock your iPhone by entering the passcode if you have one and activate or re-enable Face ID (this shows that the RAM has been cleared)
You will notice that all the apps are closed and are not running in the background and your device will be slightly faster. These are the simple steps which help you clear RAM in your iPhone or iPad, it is best to do it only if you feel your device is slowing down.
