What is Wi-Fi calling and how does it work?
Wi-Fi calling works when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network while making calls, this technology lets you make called through the connected Wi-Fi network when the signal strength of your mobile network is low without any extra cost.
Which devices Support Wi-Fi calling in Airtel and Jio?
There are a limited number of devices which support Wi-Fi calling to check whether your device is supporting it, you need to follow the steps mentioned here for Android and iOS devices.
How to Activate WiFi calling for iOS devices (Apple iPhone):
Tap on the Settings icon
Now tap on ‘Phone’ option
In the list tap on ‘Wi-Fi Calling’ option
Now tap on the toggle switch on the right of the “turn on Wi-Fi Calling on this iPhone’ to activate it
You will get a popup – ‘Enable Wi-Fi Calling’, tap on Enable button to activate the Wi-Fi calling on your Apple iPhone device
How to Activate WiFi calling for Android devices:

Go to Settings in your smartphone
Now tap on the Connections option
Here you will find the option “Wi-Fi Calling” if you phone supports it, now tap on the Toggle switch on the right of it to turn it ‘ON‘.
In some devices the option Wi-Fi calling is seen under Wi-Fi option itself
The number of devices supporting Wi-Fi calling feature is limited and if you are not able to find the option in your smartphone, it can either be that your smartphone does not support the feature or your network provider has not enabled the feature in your region.
