Google Nexus 6 was launched on Wednesday sporting Android Lollipop 5.0, Google along with Motorola has brought this device into the market with some great features and sporting a Snapdragon 805 processor. The device was launched in US and will be available from late October.
Coming to the pricing part of Nexus 6 the device is being sold unlocked version for:
- Nexus 6 with 32GB storage will cost $649 (Rs.40,000 INR )
- Nexus 6 with 64GB storage will cost $699 (Rs.43,000 INR)
The exact pricing for the device in India is not yet known but this is what we are expecting. and looking at Google aggressively promoting this device by changing the way it will be sold unlike previous Nexus models Nexus 6 will be sold by Google, Motorola and also by companies like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. T-Mobile who will be offering this device for zero down payment 2 year contracts.
And earlier models of the device were always seen available at a discounted price compared to similar flagship devices with similar specifications but this time Google has put the pricing at par with these devices.
Availability of Nexus 6 is not yet confirmed by Google and Motorola but T-mobile which is also offering the device has said that the device will be made available by them on November 12th and we are expecting Google Play store and Motorola and other providers to also start selling the device around this period.
Coming to the specifications of the device it has a 5.96-inch QHD display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution at 493PPI. It runs on runs the newly announced Android 5.0 Lollipop. The device is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB RAM. It has 13-megapixel rear or primary camera and 2-megapixel front cameras . It comes in two models of 32GB and 64GB internal storage options which are priced accordingly. The Google Nexus 6 sports an amazing 3220mAh battery, which surely can be seen in the dimensions of the device which measures 82.98 x 159.26 x 10.06mm and weighs 184 grams.
Motorola has said that many other countries will be getting the device later this year like Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America and surely India will be amongst the first as it is a huge market for every smartphone maker.
