Google Chrome for iOS gets updated with new features

Google has just updated their Chrome browser for iOS and it is coming with a lot of new features and goodies with its version 42. Some of the new features included are the Today Widget, Notification centre widget, App extensions for 1Password and LastPass, these are some of the features which are included in this update.

Some new features included in the update come under the Notification centre widget which includes controls which lets users to launch a new tab directly from the notification panel and also do Voice Search from the notification panel which will launch the Chrome web browser. The other basic App features present in Android Chrome browser are seen like page reload can be down by pulling down the page, to open a new tab and to close your current tab by sliding your finger on the page.

There is also option to include password saving apps or extensions like 1Password and LastPass which makes it a lot easier for users like me who have all their passwords in LastPass and using an iPhone or iPad always made me think twice as I always forget the passwords to all the accounts.

Extensions which were not accessible can now be accesses through iOS 8 sharesheet which can be be opened by tapping on the Chrome’s Share button in the top right corner of the window under the three dot icon on the right of the display. Earlier you used to face an issue with links copied from other apps not opening easily on Chrome which has been sorted out in this update. There are also other features like suggestions to some answers as you type for Stocks, Weather, unit conversions and such queries much like Google. The suggestions also show up for any URL’s which you might have copied in your clipboard.
