Gionee GPad G5 Phablet with 5.5 inch display and Hexacore processor at Rs. 14,999

Gionee comes out with a Phablet which sports a 5.5 inch 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) display named Gionee GPad G5. The device comes with a Hexa Core processor much like the galaxy S5 and Galaxy K Zoom. This is coming out at a time when the Note 4 is just round the corner.

The device comes with a 5.5 inch 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display having Dragon tail protection which runs on a 1.5 GHz Mediatek Processor having Cortex A7 and Mali 450 MP GPU. This device comes with Kitkat 4.4.2 having Amigo UI over it. The device has a 8MP rear camera with Flash which can record HD Videos and autofocus along with a 2MP camera in the front.

GPad G5 comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB of Internal storage space which can be expanded using microSD card. The device has accelerometer, magnetic sensors and light proximity features along with 2G, 3G, WiFi, Bluetoot 4.0 and GPS options.

The device is powered by 2400 mAh battery which will be sufficient enough for the device as it runs on Kitkat 4.4.2 along with Amigo UI which are not that heavy on the processor and does not drain the batteyr that fast. The device is being made available in two colors of Black and White.

The Indian market is becoming more and more competitive with many companies coming out with devices having high specifications and low price, coming to competitors of Gpad G5 there are two devices which are in this price range coming from Micromax and Xolo, Micromax Canvas HD+ and the XOLO Play 6X-1000 and XOLO Play 8X-1100 which are both priced around Rs. 12,000. There is another device which will be released from Xiaomi named Redmi Note which is having 2GB RAM and being priced almost 5k less that GPad G5.

Gionee GPad G5 is being prices at Rs. 14,999 which is a bit costlier that its competitors but with the presence of the Hexacore processor it is going to be bit faster and smoother than the competitors. But the absence of a 2GB RAM is a bit disappointing but as we all know that Gionee has got some good name for producing quality devices compared to the likes of Micromax and  Xolo.
