Gionee has released a small teaser or photos which is what to be believed the worlds slimmest smartphone which was earlier the Gionee Elife S5.5 and looking at the photos released on Gizmobic and there is a image which depicts the thinnest phones list till date – Moto V8 at 11.9mm, iPhone 4 at 9.3mm, Moto XT910 at 7.1mm, and Elife S5.5.
And the successor to Elife S5.5 which is going to be released mostly being named the Gionee GN9005 which is mostly going to be with a thickness of 5mm, which is going to be the thinnest smartphone till date.

The Gionee Elife S5.5 which is presently the slimmest smartphone in the market has some good specifications like 1.7GHz octa-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM, 5-inch Super AMOLED 1080×1920 pixels resolution display having 441 ppi. It also has a 13 MP rear camera and LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera. It has internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded to 32 GB using microSD card.
The device measures 145.1×70.2×5.55mm in dimensions and the successor is thinner and smaller in all aspects compared to S5.5. But the fact that the display is going to be downgraded is not a great idea or shall we say that this new device is a cheaper version of the device.
The successor to Gionee Elife S5.5 launch date is not yet revealed but surely Gionee will be eyeing the Indian market which is being flooded with smartphones from all companies like Xiaomi, Asus etc.
the Elife S5.5 as released for Rs. 22,999 and with the specifications which are rumoured the device should be costing lesser in-spite of the thinner body, but if the specifications are kept at par with S5.5 along with the thin body it will be priced similarly or costlier.
