Coolpad has launched their latest affordable smartphone in India, the Coolpad Mega which is targeted at the sub Rs. 10,000 segment with an aggressive pricing of Rs. 7,499. One thing to note from first glance at the device is that it resembles the company’s earlier smartphone Coolpad Sky 3 in terms of design and let us look if it is identical in the specifications segment as well or not. The Mega comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with 267ppi pixel density and has 2.5D glass over it. The device is powered by a quad-core processor which is similar the Sky 3.
When it comes with the RAM, the Coolpad Mega comes with 3GB of RAM. The device is quite slim at just 7.85mm and weighs 143 grams in weight. It comes with 16GB internal memory and expandable using microSD card up to 128GB.

The Coolpad Mega sports an 8MP rear camera with f.2.0 aperture and LED flash along with a similar 8MP front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with CoolUI over it.
It is powered by a 2,500mAh battery and will be available in three colors – grey, pure gold and champagne gold colors. It will be available exclusively on Amazon India from 24th August priced at Rs. 7,499. The Coolpad Mega is a great device and it competes against their own Note 3 and Note 3 Plus which comes with a Fingerprint sensor as well which is missing in the Mega and a better Full HD display at offer for just a tad bit more.
