Asus has updated their website with a latest mobile in the Zenfone series with their Asus Zenfone 5 A500KL having Quad Core processor and also the addition of 4G support. Zenfone 5 latest model comes with a 5 inch screen 720p display having resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and gorilla glass 3 for protection
Zenfone 5 runs on MSM8926 Quad Core processor and chipset which clocks 1.2 GHz, it comes in two models which are 1GB/2GB of RAM and based on internal memory there are three models of 8GB/16Gb/32GB which can be further expanded using microSD card up to 64GB.
The device has a 8MP rear camera with Auto Focus and supports Full HD recording and rear camera has F2.0 apperture. The front camera is a 2MP with F2.4 aperture settings available. The camera has been very good in the earlier model of Zenfone which was certainly very good in Low Light as well.
Zenfone 5 is a sleek device which is 10.3mm thich and weighs at 145 grams, one of the main difference is that it supports 4G which is not available in the earlier model of Zenfone 5, this device supports 4G, 3G, 2G, WiFi, GS and Bluetooth 4.0.
Zenfone 5 runs on ZenUI which I was certainly impressed with being sleek and great to use. The battery life is pretty good with a talktime of 20 hours on calls made on 3G network.
The device comes in a time when the New Moto G is alunched and has already gone on Sale in India and is making its mark once again with Xiaomi Mi3 out of the way for now, so lets hope that the new Zenfone 5 A500KL comes to India soon enough and that the prcing by Asus is as competitive as it was with the earlier model where Xiaomi and Asus went head to head with the pricing of their devices and Xiaomi slashing the price of Redmi 1s and launching it at Rs. 5999.
