Asus Zenfone 4 Max with Dual Rear cameras and 5000mAh battery announced

Asus has announced their  latest smartphone in the Max series which targets mainly the battery life. The Zenfone 4 Max is the successor to last years Zenfone 3 Max, the device comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. The specifications of Asus Zenfone 4 Max are as follows, it is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC and the other variant comes with a 1.4GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 Mobile platform with Adreno 505 GPU. Coming to the RAM and storage, it has three variants – 2GB RAM + 16GB Storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM +  64GB storage and all three variants have expandable storage option up to 256GB.

Asus has made sure that the Max series is not left out in the camera segment, where all the other smartphone manufacturers are bringing out Dual Camera smartphones in every price point. The Zenfone 4 Max comes with a dual rear camera set up having – 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and 80-degree wide angle lens along with a secondary 120 degree wide angle lens and EIS. The front camera is an 8MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture and soft LED flash as well.

The device has a unibody metal design with slot for dual SIM and microSD card. It comes with a front Home button with the Fingerprint sensor which is said to unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. The main USP of the Max series is the 5000mAh in-built battery which is said to give 46 days of standby time on LTE and up to 40 hours of talk time on 3G, it also supports 22 hours of video playback.

The Asus Zenfone 4 Max is available in Black, Gold and Pink colors and the price starts at (announced in Russia) 13900 Ruble which is approx Rs. 15,170.
