Asus ROG series (Republic of Gamers) is targeted at hardcore gamer’s and the devices under ROG fit the name perfectly. There is a new laptop, the ROG GX700 added to the impressive ROG lineup having the world’s first liquid cooling system. It comes with a detachable ROG-exclusive Hydro Overclocking System cooling module making it truly unique.
The flagship laptop by Asus is powered by the 6th-generation Intel Mobile K-SKU (Skylace) processor and has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card to support the heavy gaming it is meant to support. The laptop sports a 17-inch 4K UHD display coupled with G-Sync to give the best detailed and smooth visuals.
The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM with the option to further expanded up to 64GB. It is one of the first gaming laptops to feature NVIDIA G-SYNC technology. It comes with Hydro Overclocking System to help provide additional cooling support when compared to the regular gaming laptops in the market. The laptop comes packed in specially made ROG themed briefcase.
The CPU of the GX-700 is overclocked up to 48% and the 64GB memory variant can be overclocked up to 43%. The main aspect of the GX-700 is the detachable liquid cooling dock which is based on a custom self-sealing valve design, a quite and highly reliable pump and dual 92mm radiators capable of dissipating 500W of heat in addition to the traditional cooling. In case of normal use the traditional cooling in the laptop is capable of managing the heat and the external cooling dock can be detached.
Coming to the price, it is quite innovative and does not come in cheap. The ROG GX-700 is priced at a whooping Rs. 4,12,990 and will be available on request from Asus India site as there are said to be limited stocks available.
