Asus Fonepad 7 dual sim launched in India at Rs. 8,999

Asus has with its Zenfone 5 model made a big foray into the Indian market and got some great response as the device was priced in the right budget for many users. Now Asus are coming with Fonepad 7 model n.o FE170CG which is being priced at Rs. 8,999 which is decent pricing compared to what the company priced the Dual Sim version of the device earlier for Rs. 12,999.

The latest version of Asus Fonepad 7 comes with a 7 inch LED IPS display with 1024×600 resolution the device also runs on 1.2 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2520 ‘Clover Trail+’ processor which has Hyper-Threading technology and has 1GB of RAM. It comes in two models one with 4GB and other with 8GB internal memory which can be extended up to 64 GBwith microSD card. It runs of Android Jelly Bean 4.3 along with a slight addition of ZenUI and has GPRS/EDGE and 3G along with Wifi support.

The specifications of the new version are similar to the older version except for the improvement in Processor, the device also sports a 2 MP rear camera and also a 0.3 MP or VGA front camera to make Video calls or Voice calls.  The tablet gets free 16GB of cloud storage which is divided into two parts with 5GB with lifetime validity and the other 11GB for 1 year.

It has a decent battery with the help of a 3,910 mAh battery with a battery life of 10 hours as said by ASUS which is quite good. The device comes in four colors like black, white, blue and red.

You can get this Tablet with a decent pricing of Rs. 8,999 in India and looking at what the ZenFone series by Asus had done in the Indian market we can expect this device also to get decent attention because of the nice and tweaked ZenUI running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
