Android One smartphones to get Lollipop 5.0 by January 2015

Android One which was the project of Google to bring Stock Android to budget smartphones and in reach to all users across all platforms. Android One devices were launched by three companies Micromax, Karbonn and Spice three of the devices have similar features and specifications at offer.

The Smartphone companies do not update the operating system but the updates come directly from Google so we can expect the Android Lollipop 5.0 update in these three Android One devices by January 2015. The devices which run on Android One OS are Micromax Canvas A1, Spice Dream Uno and Karbonn Sparkle V.

Android Lollipop is going to be an improved version of the Android OS with its minimalistic design and Google claiming that the Battery Life and performance of the devices running on Lollipop will be increased is something great to hear as the main problem with Android devices is the constant draining of Battery and the Lag which we seen in most of the devices even in the top end flagship smartphones. The recent update of Android L to Nexus devices also has bought up some complaints from users about text messages problem and other such issues so hope Google sorts these issues before bringing the update to the less featured smartphones like the Android One series.

The features of all three Android One devices is similar with all the devices sporting a 4.5 inch FWVGA display and the devices are powered by 1.3 GHZ MT6582 processor which is Quadcore and it is supported by 1GB of RAM and has 4GB of internal Storage space which can be expanded to 32GB using micro SD card support. Along with these features the device runs on 1700 mAh battery and the camera is a 5MP primary or Rear camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. All the other features like Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS are present in the device.

So if have an Android One device then you can expect the Android Lollipop 5.0 update in the next 2 months but make sure that you read user reviews about the update before going for it as initially there will be some bugs and error which users will be facing.
